Mattias Lundborg brings a rare mix of technical depth and music industry insight. He studied Computer Science at Stockholm University, laying the foundation for a career spent building software at the intersection of finance, data, and music.
He started his career in the banking sector, working in teams that handled payments and high-volume transaction processing. That experience gave him a strong understanding of how to design systems where accuracy, traceability, and scale are non-negotiable, principles that translate directly to royalty accounting.
He later moved into the music industry as CTO at a record label, where he built internal systems for employees and producers, including automated royalty software that streamlined statements, calculations, and reporting. This role bridged his technical background with the day-to-day operational needs of a working label.
Alongside his professional career, Mattias has been an active music producer for many years, receiving royalty statements through a range of different platforms. That first-hand experience as an end user shapes how he approaches product design at Qlero, building the kind of clear, trustworthy, and producer-friendly tools he wished he'd had himself.
